部门目标
数学是一门起源于早期希腊思想的学科，一直是科学不可缺少的语言和工具。 在威尼斯人平台主要项目和我们对其他部门的服务中，威尼斯人平台数学系力求为数学学科提供坚实的基础，并为逻辑和精确的语言提供更大的欣赏。 在威尼斯人平台主要课程中，我们寻求为研究生院，技术工作或中学教学做好准备的学生。 在威尼斯人平台服务项目中，威尼斯人平台目标是为工程预科学生准备双学位课程，并为其他需要数学的学科的学生做好准备。 我们还希望传授：

教师认证
数学Pre-MAT
对6-12年级的数学教学感兴趣的学生应该完成数学专业的学士学位，然后在威尼斯人平台注册一年的教学文学硕士。 It is 推荐 that the 教育未成年人 be completed. Three of the courses in the min或 - 教学导论 , 教育心理学 and 特殊儿童教育 - are 要求 f或 admission to the MAT. F或 inf或mation about certification, see 教师认证 under the 教育部门 section of the catalog.
