年度最佳青年校友：梅根·赫尔斯16岁

Megan majored in Elementary 教育 and began teaching third grade at Chattanooga Valley Elementary School after graduating in 2016. This past February, Megan was nominated by her peers for Chattanooga Valley Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year award, which she then received. As a follow-up to receiving the award, she wrote an essay outlining her philosophy of teaching and was chosen based on this to be observed and interviewed by a panel of retired teachers for the 2019 Walker County Teacher of the Year award. 梅根在今年五月获得了这个奖项。 She attributes much of her teaching style and success to her time spent in Covenant’s 教育 Department, and she has greatly enjoyed learning and growing as a teacher at Chattanooga Valley Elementary.

梅根专注于为学生服务。 Even if no one had given her these awards for her work, she would be content to see the children in her classes discovering and developing their gifts. Following the example she learned from Steve and Mary Kaufmann and others at 威尼斯人平台, Megan’s goal is to please Jesus in the opportunities she is given.
