For 法国 and 西班牙语 majors, the department offers a variety of courses in culture, conversation, literature, structure and writing taught in the world language. 主修专业和副修专业的学生都沉浸在一种不同于主流美国文化的世界观中，这种世界观融合了法语国家和西班牙文化的过去和现在的发展。主要s in 法国 or 西班牙语 can lead to career opportunities in which a liberal arts education is desirable, such as linguistics, business, missions, government, theology, art history, teaching, travel, journalism, or law. All courses at the 300 level and above are conducted entirely in the world language.

核心世界语言要求

Students planning on a major or minor in 法国 or 西班牙语 are reminded that the 100 and 200 level courses do not count toward the major or the minor.

世界语言预科

Students who are interested in teaching in 法国 or 西班牙语 for grades P-12 should complete a BA degree with a major in 法国 or 西班牙语, and then enroll in the one-year Master of Arts in Teaching at 威尼斯人平台. It is 推荐 that the 教育未成年人 be completed. Three of the courses in the minor, 教学导论 , 教育心理学 and 特殊儿童教育 , are 要求 for admission to the MAT.
